The takes two trips to our office. During your first appointment, Dr. Bandy will prepare your teeth to receive the veneers. He’ll do this by removing a thin layer of enamel from the fronts of your teeth. That way, there will be enough space for your dental veneers to sit on top.
Dr. Bandy will also use a shade guide to ensure that your new porcelain veneers match the color of your natural enamel. Then, Dr. Bandy will take impressions of your teeth to send to the lab that will be making your veneers. In the meantime, our dentist will place temporary veneers on your teeth to tide you over until you return for your second appointment.
When your dental veneers arrive from the lab, we’ll call you to schedule your second appointment. During this visit, Dr. Bandy will remove the temporary veneers and replace them with the permanent ones. But before bonding the veneers in place, Dr. Bandy will ensure that the veneers are the perfect size, shape, and color.
Dr. Bandy will make sure that your porcelain dental veneers look natural and blend in with the rest of your smile. Then, he’ll clean and etch the fronts of your teeth before bonding the veneers in place with dental cement and an ultraviolet light. Dr. Bandy will also check your bite to ensure that your veneers are a perfect fit.
